...But Words Will Never Hurt Me

This photograph has a pretty dark story. And it is not necessarily my story, but one that I feel many will resonate with. It is the story of the individual that took matters into their own hands. Someone who said, "You will no longer abuse me this way, you no longer have power over me". And whether that looked like breaking off a relationship, humiliating someone who hurt you, or resenting someone who never acknowledged you, we all try to be God sometimes. In this image she is saying, "With sticks and stones I will break your bones,  so that your words will never hurt me."
